Our Great Lent Activity Book is printed in full color on superior quality paper and it includes a variety of hands-on activities. Some of them have been selected from the printable activities on the website, and some are new. It explores the following themes:

  • Great Lent, its weeks and Sundays
  • What we do during Great Lent
  • Fasting
  • Prayer
  • Religious study (the Gospels)
  • Humility, virtues, and passions
  • Kindness and almsgiving

2 Versions

The book is offered in two versions: LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2

  • Level 1 is best for younger children, in Preschool to Grade 1
  • Level 2 is best for older children, Grades 2-5

Using this book, the children get to:

  • Understand what Great Lent is, how long it lasts for, and what some of its milestones are.
  • Explore the different ways in which we can grow spiritually during Lent (fasting, prayer, religious study, almsgiving).
  • Internalize the fundamentals of spiritual warfare, focusing on the Christian virtues and passions (for the older children).

A combination of the activity book and the Lenten resources available on our website can offer young learners a truly immersive learning experience. The book can also be used as a stand-alone teaching tool, at home, in class, or at a religious retreat.
