Over the years, some users have reported printing problems with our PDF files. In some cases, we were told that some of the illustrations print out with a black background. We have not experienced this problem on our own printers or on several printers we tried, and, even though we looked into it, we still haven’t been able to figure out the cause. However, we have searched for solutions.
If you are experiencing this issue, please try the following:
- Don’t print from your phone. Print from a computer instead.
- Don’t print from your browser. Download the file and open it directly in Adobe Acrobat Reader (or Adobe Acrobat Pro, if you have it).
- Make sure you have the latest version of Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Pro.
- If all else fails, try the following hack: Print PDF as image.
